What at first seemed to be another Breakout rip...

...turned out to be great game. Very fun, very addictive, pure awesome.

Well...

It's better than most things in the portal, but it's no masterpiece. Everything was decent, but could use some work. Mostly the graphics, they could be worse, but they could also be much better. The physics could use some work too. It felt like I was constantly sliding across ice.

All in all, a solid 6/10.

Truly a great game.

Not only is it fun, I still feel compelled to play even after beating it. (I'm up to 5 wins now. I've only leveled up to Fab once, though.) I'd even go so far as to say that this itself deserves to be on Xbox Live Arcade, let alone the real Castle Crashers.

It was different.

It's refreshing to see a game on Newgrounds that involves using actual brainpower instead of just hack n' slash style game-play. It's not that I don't like the latter, but there can be to much of a good thing. Now, on to the actual review!

Graphics-Simple, not to flashy. They weren't bad, but they didn't quite dazzle me. So I give graphics a 5.

Style-You made a game where you spot the difference, so it gave what the title promised, and you didn't add in a bunch of random special features. Put simply, it is what it is. So I give style a 10.

Sound-There was no sound, so that department gets a 0.

Violence-Again, no violence. So I gave that a 0.

Interactivity-In a simple game like this, interactivity is about all ya' have, and it pulled that off very well. So I give interactivity a 10

Humor-There was no humor, so I gave that a 0.

Overall-It was a simple, but good game. But at the same, it wasn't great.

So, in closing, keep up the good work.

But - and this is just a wee reviewing tip - some of those breakdowns really added nothing to the numbers. I mean, I know myself that there is no humour/violence/sound and a 0 for the rating says the same, without you having to spend time typing it out.

Now, I don't mean to sound ungrateful, for I'm pleased you felt the game worthy of writing a longer review for. But next time, it may be worth writing some SPECIFIC points and opinions about various elements/features.

Did you like the simplicity of the graphics? Was it good that I didn't 'add in a bunch of random special features'?

Maybe you could mention what you thought of the way I introduced movement into level 3?

Those kind of specific comments would really help far more than explaining numbers that pretty much explain themselves.

Still, that's just my preference and your review as is was certainly somewhat helpful. I just felt that after spending all that time on it, I'd explain how you could maybe help us authors out more.
